BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- 10 warriors battling various forms of cancer in Kern County will receive a helping hand thanks to the generous support of hockey fans, Dignity Health and the Kern County Cancer Foundation. After raising $20,300 during the Bakersfield Condors live Fighting Cancer Jersey Auction Night, the money is set to be donated to 10 warriors in Kern County to help with treatment and expenses. The recipients range from ages 1 to 16. The auction is set to close on Sunday, Jan. 19. Proceeds from the auction benefit the Condors Community Foundation and cancer research with all of the money staying in Kern County.
