Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany have announced the birth of their third child, Golden Raye, who was born on Jan. 12.Mahomes spoke with reporters Tuesday mostly about the Chiefs upcoming playoff against the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional round. But he also spoke about settling into his new role as a father of three.Mahomes said his wife crushed it and that its been cool to welcome another baby girl in our family and see how my other kids react to her and having baby sissy.He did joke it was cool that Brittany allowed him to watch football at the hospital as they prepared for the birth of their second daughter.RELATED STORY | Patrick, Brittany Mahomes visit Chiefs parade shooting victims in hospitalGolden Raye's older sister, Sterling Skye Mahomes, was born in February 2021. Her older brother, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, was born in November 2022.Ahead of the arrival of Golden, Patrick promised Brittany the Chiefs would secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a bye week in the playoffs so the couple could go have that baby. And thats exactly what he did.It was cool that we got the bye just cause you can kind of really focus in on just being at the hospital and being in the moment, Mahomes said. Its a special moment that a lot of dads and moms have experienced, and you dont forget about that stuff. So I was glad I was able to be there and support in the best way I can.Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters he thinks Patrick does great with being a father.
