6 drivers arrested for DUI at Fresno PD checkpoint

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Six drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint Saturday, according to the Fresno Police Department.
Police say the checkpoint was held at Shaw Avenue and 4th Street from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
According to police, 21 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle without a license or with a suspended or revoked license, while 407 vehicles were contacted.
DUI checkpoint locations are strategically established based on the frequency of impaired driving-related crashes.
