(FOX 5/KUSI) — Cal Fire San Diego crews were busy Tuesday morning as multiple brush fires broke out in the county, all of which have now been contained. The biggest, named the Pamo Fire, broke out after 6:30 a.m. in Ramona near the intersection of Pamo and West Haveford roads. According to Cal Fire, the brush fire burned through about four acres of land. An earlier estimate placed the fire at about 10 acres in size, but it was downgraded once crews stopped forward progress and was able to complete more accurate mapping. Public safety power shutoffs resume in San Diego due to fire danger: Here’s where At least one structure was threatened, but did not ultimately sustain any damage. Cal Fire said crews will remain on scene for several hours to strengthen control lines around the Pamo Fire and mitigate any additional hazards. The cause remains under investigation. Outside Ramona, crews similarly made quick work to get a number of brush fires sparked early Tuesday under control. This included a small, but worrisome fire in Lakeside, right off Winter Gardens Boulevard on a property where a mobile home was parked. The RV, several nearby cars and a shed were destroyed in the blaze. Fire officials confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI on scene that the Lakeside fire was ignited by a propane heater. "Use of any auxiliary heating inside a building or house, especially propane, is fairly dangerous," Lakeside Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Chris Downing said. "So you need to be careful using accessory heating devices indoors and make sure you have a working smoke detector." All of the brush fires come as crews remain on high alert due to strong Santa Ana winds over Southern California, prompting the National Weather Service to issue its second Red Flag Warning in two weeks. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
