To the Editor:While Mayor Ben Walsh’s upcoming State of the City address will outline an inspiring vision for Syracuse’s future, it will almost certainly overlook the critical, yet less glamorous, topic of funding those ambitions. As chairperson of the Finance Committee for the Common Council, I am acutely aware of the significant fiscal challenges facing our city. The financial reality demands immediate action. We need to get off the path that we are on, as it only leads to insolvency or bankruptcy.
