On Tuesday, Jan. 14, LexPark will resume safety-related citations, including 24-hour parking enforcement that can result in receiving a windshield barnacle or towing. This follows the lifting of the Mayor’s Snow Emergency Plan today. “LexPark is tasked by the City to issue citations to vehicles parked more than 24 hours,” said LexPark Executive Director Laura Boison. “However, we recognize the unique circumstances that many of our neighbors have been dealing with, and as a result, all citations issued on Thursday, January 9, have been voided.” No tickets were given out Friday through Sunday for meter or other street violations due to the inclement weather. Citations for non-payment or expired meters restarted today, Monday, January 13.Anyone with questions regarding LexPark citations, contact (859) 231-7275. LexPark was established in 2008. The organization manages on street parking, four garages and one surface lot. For more information, visit www.lexpark.org.
