North Carolina man charged with DWI; had 5 children in car

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Kinston Police Department arrested a man on Saturday after a traffic stop revealed he was driving while impaired.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for an insurance violation and failure to maintain lane control.
When 49-year-old Wilson Murphy stopped his car police suspected that he was impaired. After an investigation, officers determined that Murphy was indeed impaired. Murphy also had five children under the age of 12 in his car.
Murphy was charged with driving while impaired and misdemeanor child abuse.
