RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was arrested after being found with a gun at North Carolina State University on Monday, a warrant shows.
The N.C. State Police Department responded shortly after 6 p.m. to a report of three people who had entered Carmichael Gym without valid memberships, a university spokesperson said.
While investigating, officers discovered that one of the individuals, later identified as 21-year-old Rahliek Monzell White of Spring Lake, possessed a Glock 48 9mm on campus, according to a warrant.
White, who's not affiliated with the university, was charged with felony possession of a weapon on educational property, misdemeanor carrying a concealed handgun and misdemeanor breaking and entering, the N.C. State spokesperson said.
The other two people who also unlawfully entered Carmichael Gym were charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, officials said. All three individuals received a trespass notice, which bans them from all property on NC State's campus.
White is scheduled to appear in Wake County Court on Tuesday, according to the warrant.
