Two arrested after deadly Whitehall shooting

WHITEHALL, Ohio (WCMH) – Two men have been charged with murder after another man was found shot dead in Whitehall late Monday night.
According to the Whitehall Division of Police, officers responded to reports of a shooting at 10:07 p.m. in the 4500 block of Ludington Road. Two suspects were placed in custody outside of the residence, just east of South Hamilton Road.
West Columbus man accused of raping minor in multiple central Ohio counties
Inside the home police found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Whitehall PD said that Jyren Lyles, 21, and Christian Byrd, 20, have been charged with murder and will be taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Investigators say the incident began as a domestic dispute, which escalated into gunfire. Both Lyles and Byrd are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for their respective arraignment hearings.
