CHULA VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday in Chula Vista, authorities said. The crash occurred around 7:55 a.m. at the alley north of 517 H Street, between Fifth Avenue and Smith Avenue, said Sgt. Anthony Molina with the Chula Vista Police Department. When authorities responded to the scene, they found the pedestrian, a 59-year-old Chula Vista man, with major injuries. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Investigators do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
