Ali Ghaffar of West Springfield pleaded guilty to 30 charges in December. Prosecutors say Ghaffar would pick up women in the south end of Springfield, and drive them to Bear Hole Reservoir in West Springfield, where he would threaten them with a gun and rape them, leaving the victims in the woods.
He was arrested in 2022 after two survivors helped police identify him as their assailant. DNA samples were also taken from Ghaffar which matched a sample from the March survivor.
Tuesday's sentencing is scheduled for this morning at Hamden Superior Court in Springfield.
