PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Advocates for equity will hold a press conference today in support of new legislation in the Rhode Island State House. The Economic Progress Institute will throw their support behind a bill that would allow lawmakers to request equity impact statements on proposed legislation. State leaders Representative David Morales and Senator Tiara Mack co-wrote the bill. The EPI will hold their press conference with the two leaders at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the State House library.
