North Carolina man wanted for human trafficking, attempted murder in custody

ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — The Wake County Sheriff's Office apprehended a man wanted on several felony charges Monday night after an hours-long search.
Deputies said they responded to a residence on Knollwood Pond Lake near Zebulon to take 34-year-old Dustin Kristopher Letchworth into custody. Before they arrived, Letchworth ran out of the back of the home.
Just before 11:30 p.m., the sheriff's office announced Letchworth was in custody at the Zebulon Police Station.

According to warrants, Letchworth is charged with attempted first-degree murder, human trafficking an adult victim, promoting prostitution for profit, first-degree kidnapping and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
The Wake County Sheriff's Office was being assisted in the search by the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the Zebulon Police Department, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, and the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.
Letchworth is scheduled to be in court Tuesday afternoon at the Wake County Justice Center.
