TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Kansas Legislature is back in session and lawmakers are beginning to introduce new topics of discussion for 2025.
Kansas state senators and representatives gathered at the statehouse in Topeka on Monday, Jan. 13 for the first day of the 2025 session. Lawmakers have already started introducing new bills for debate in the Senate and House, with a few having been pre-filed in the days leading up the first day of legislation.

The Kansas Legislature's website shows a total of ten bills that have been introduced for the current session with three in the Senate and seven in the House. Brief breakdowns of each bill can be found below:

House Bill 2001 - continuing the reimbursement from the taxpayer notification costs fund for printing and postage costs of county clerks through to 2029.
