ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque police officer who has been charged with domestic violence will be making his first appearance in court on Tuesday. According to the criminal complaint, Officer James Steven Eichel got into a heated argument with his wife early this morning. Albuquerque man sentenced to seven years in prison for fatal drunk driving crash Police responded to a 911 call and found the wife with bruises, as well as a minor with a cut to their ear. The wife told investigators that Eichel had been drinking. He is charged with aggravated battery and false imprisonment.
