ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Amber "The Bully" Brown is set to fight on the January 25 Coalition Muay Thai fight card, which will be held at the Lujan Building at Expo New Mexico. An MMA fighter by trade, Brown has been out of the fight game since 2023, but after staying in the gym and training, she feels prepared to take on Rebecca Watford in the co-main event. Watford is an experienced Muay Thai fighter who has extensive experience in Thailand. "I expect her to be a real strong heavy kicker, strong punches and knees. It's going to be cool to just go out there and test my skills against someone who has just been training Muay Thai and I think it's going to be a good match-up. She is the same age, she has about the same amount of experience in Muay Thai as I have in MMA," said Brown. Brown is an experienced MMA fighter and currently holds a 7-7 record, and she believes that her experience will propel her to a victory. "I just have to remember I faced the best people in the world and my experience and just everything that I have been to will come into play on fight night. So, I feel like it will be in my favor," said Brown. This will mark the 2nd fight since Brown lost her daughter Maliyah in 2022. Maliyah died of complications from diabetes and Brown always has the memory of her daughter with her, and even now she provides Brown motivation both in and out of the ring. "I use it as fuel like I know she would want me to just go out there and stay strong and not be living my life sad. So, I just trying to be a light for other people and just every time that I feel like quitting or tired, I try to just think about her and even God. you know, he has me on this path for a reason and I am a fighter," said Brown.
