REHOBOTH, Mass. (WPRI) — A Springfield woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing and forging a check from a Rehoboth town worker, according to police. The stolen check, totaling more than $22,000, was initially made payable to a vendor for work performed for the town. Police said it was altered and reissued to "Jordyn Richardson." Investigators determined that 23-year-old Jordyn Richardson deposited the altered check into her bank account via an ATM. She has been charged with larceny over $1,200, forgery of a check, uttering a false check, and conspiracy. Police also believe an unidentified man was involved in the crime.
