WHITSETT, N.C. – A child has died following a sledding accident in Whitsett, North Carolina, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said they responded to a water rescue on Saturday, around 9:15 p.m. When officials arrived, they said they found a child in the water. The child died at the hospital. Officials also said two first responders and three other people who assisted with the rescue were taken to a local hospital for medical examinations. There is no word on their conditions.
