NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — The deadline to get your REAL ID is fast approaching for North Dakotans looking to travel. Starting this May, you will need a REAL ID-compliant ID to board a domestic flight. It will also be necessary if you are visiting certain federal facilities such as a post office or federal courthouse. The change is to provide accurate and more up-to-date information and make ID documents safer and more secure. Dry January: A fresh start for mind, body, and spirit The director of the Minot International Airport says that people who don't travel frequently should plan to get their ID soon. "During heavy travel seasons, like the Christmas season or the holiday seasons, things like that. Summer travel, spring break may become an issue where individuals who don't travel frequently, maybe they only travel once a year.
