Police, FBI investigate report robbery at Equity Bank in Southwest Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka police are responding to reports of a bank robbery in southwest Topeka on Monday.
Rosie Nichols, spokeswoman for the City of Topeka, confirmed to 27 News that officers are actively responding to reports of a bank robbery that took place on Jan. 13. It reportedly happened at Equity Bank, near Southwest 29th Street and Southwest Gage Boulevard.

A Watch Commander with TPD told 27 News just after 5:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13 that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is leading the investigation. The Watch Commander could not give information about the suspect, or if they were armed. 27 News will provide updates as they become available.
