SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The City of Springfield is looking for donations of new blankets and warm clothing for those in need. The city's Department of Health and Human Services has seen a rise in requests for blankets, winter hats, gloves, and scarves this winter for those in Springfield warming facilities. To help, Mayor Sarno and Health and Human Services (HHS) Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris are calling for the public's help to assist those in need.
