OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond announced he is running for governor in 2026. Drummond announced his campaign on Monday, January 13, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. "I'm not running for governor because I want a new title. I'm not running for governor as a career politician looking for another promotion. I'm not running for governor to serve special interest groups. I'm not running for governor so that I can bow down to party bosses." said Drummond. "I'm running for governor because I believe in the boundless potential of its people and I am deeply committed to the future that we can build together." He noted he wants Oklahoma to be a business-friendly state where Oklahomans can enjoy the highest quality of life. In addition to his law experience, Drummond is a seventh generation Oklahoman, long-time rancher, banker and business man.
