Somerset man charged in child sexual assault case

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A 26-year-old Somerset man is charged with sexually assaulting a child in his care.
According to Sheriff Bobby Jones, Jonathan Skirvin faces charges of Sodomy in the First Degree, Child under the age of Twelve, and Incest, Child under the age of Twelve. The sheriff’s office says the investigation began in late October, when deputies say they interviewed the alleged minor victim, who claimed Skirvin sexually assaulted the victim.
Skirvin was arrested and taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center, where he’s being held on a $150,000 bond.
The sheriff’s office says Skirvin was also arrested on two unrelated bench warrants.
