EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The "hold protocol" at El Paso High School implemented on Monday afternoon, Jan. 13, has been lifted, El Paso Independent School District said.
EPISD issued the following statement:
"This security measure was enacted out of an abundance of caution following an incident near the campus. No students or staff were harmed. The safety and well-being of our school community remain our highest priority. Thank you for your continued trust and understanding."
The school district did not disclose what the incident was that prompted the increased security measures.
