NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A North Charleston-based nonprofit organization that supports children and families experiencing hardship is seeking assistance from the community. Landmarks for Families, previously known as Carolina Youth Development Center, said it has an urgent need for essential items like bath towels, pillows, washcloths, and kitchen towels. Organizers say these items help ensure residents have basic comfort items. “Your support will make an immediate difference in the lives of the children we serve,” said Landmarks for Families. “Thank you for helping us create a place of comfort and care for those in need.” Items can be donated directly and dropped off at 5055 Lackawanna Blvd., or purchased from the organization’s Amazon Wishlist.
