BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — An eight-year-old Kingston, R.I. resident was honored by the Boston Celtics for helping save the life of his father. Nova Nascenzi was named a Hero Among Us by the Cs in a TD Garden ceremony during the team’s December 31 home game against the Toronto Raptors. Nova rushed to call 9-11 after his father fell off of the family’s home and lost consciousness while doing roof work. Nova was alerted to the fall by the barks of the family’s normally calm dog. After calling emergency services, he tended to his father’s injuries while waiting for an ambulance to arrive. His father made a full recovery. Categories: News, Rhode Island
