Two women killed in deadly I435 crash identified by Kansas City police

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police have identified two women who were killed after crashing on Interstate 435 and falling into the Blue River last Friday in Kansas City.
The driver of the car was identified as Breanna Burlington, a 24-year-old woman. The passenger who was killed was Alexis Burlington, a 21-year-old woman. Alexis was sitting in the back seat.
According to investigators, Breanna and Alexis, along with another male passenger, were headed west on I-435, just before 103rd Street at about 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Police said Breanna was driving too fast for the winter weather conditions, causing her to drive over a snowbank on the highway and vault off the bridge. Police said the SUV fell 100 feet, landing in the Blue River.
The male passenger was sitting in the front seat at the time of the crash. He was badly hurt and taken to the hospital with critical injuries, according to police.
There is no update on his current condition.
