GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The Greensboro Pro Hockey Club is set to reveal its name and logo on Tuesday. The reveal will take place at 6 p.m. The team took fan input and suggestions for the new name after announcing the formation of the team in the Fall of 2024. The team will play at First Horizon Coliseum (formerly known as the Greensboro Coliseum). This is not Greensboro’s first experience with hockey, there have been two previous ECHL franchises in the Greensboro Monarchs (1989-1995) and Greensboro Generals (1999-2004). The NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes also played their first two seasons in Greensboro before moving to Raleigh.
