FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - In Fresno crowds gathered near River Park on Sunday to express outrage over the recent border patrol operation in Kern County and as a way of showing support to immigrant workers and families around the valley.
The massive gathering of protestors united on Blackstone Avenue in an outcry over a recent border patrol operation near Bakersfield and an incoming administration zeroing in on immigration.

"With immigration picking up you know, people like us, it motivated me even more because I am a dreamer. I am a DACA recipient, so, hits home."
A man going by only Osvaldo says he helped organize the protest matching similar demonstrations in Bakersfield.
"We're united, as you can see, regardless of what's going on around the world, the states, California, at the end of the day, we all look out for each other," he said.
Hundreds came out demanding an end to deportation operations— many doing it on behalf of others fearing a similar fate.
"I've personally gone to work, picked up at the fields with my mom. So I see the hard work that they put every single day out there, whether it's cold or hot. And I know how much being here means to them," said protestor Liliana Ramirez.
While there were waves of support some were not so friendly, but the main focus for many during the demonstration was staying at ease.
"I understand they're upset but I did tell them, let's not respond to any negativity that we get from anyone. Let's not feed to their anger or whatever it is. We want to keep it peaceful, we want to keep it calm," said protestor Gabriela Espinoza. "We're here to support."
