The Broncos’ season ended with a thud Sunday. Denver took the NFL by surprise and made the AFC playoff field as the No. 7 seed, but bowed out with a 31-7 loss to the No. 2-seeded Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium. Denver is already the second AFC West team to bow out of the playoffs. They follow the No. 5-seeded Los Angeles Chargers, who lost 32-12 on Saturday at No. 4 Houston. Las Vegas is in the midst of searching for a head coach and a general manager after a putrid season and Kansas City, of course, has its feet up as the AFC’s top seed and now prepares for the Texans in the divisional round.
