VBPD asks for help searching for teen missing since Wednesday

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The Virginia State Police has issued a missing person with autism alert on behalf of the Virginia Beach Police Department.
The Virginia Beach Police Department is looking for 14-year-old Tyion Cordano Matthews.

Matthews is 5-foot-8 and 130 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen on Wednesday, Jan. 8, around 4:30 p.m. leaving the 3200 block of Manor Glenn Court on foot. He was possibly wearing a white hoodie with green lettering, and gray sweatpants.
He has ties to the Hampton Roads area.
Matthews has been diagnosed with autism and his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.
