(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on the evening of Friday, Jan. 10, a man wielding a knife entered a downtown store, threatened the cashier, and stole items and money before running off. According to CSPD, around 5:45 p.m. on Friday, the female cashier at the shop in the 00 block of East Bijou Street, near North Cascade Avenue, was threatened but not physically harmed. The suspect was last seen running southbound through an alley. The Downtown Area Response Team (DART) and patrol officers arrived on the scene quickly, according to CSPD, and are following up on investigative leads to identify the suspect who is still at large.
