Roswell shooting death investigated as selfdefense

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Roswell police are investigating a shooting as self-defense after one person was killed Friday night. Police were called near Montana Avenue and College Boulevard, finding 27-year-old Alvin Sedillo unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.
Roswell police investigate after man found dead in the street
Police believe Sedillo threatened a man and his girlfriend with a gun, asking for their phones, and other personal items, and demanding to be driven to another location. When the men refused, police say Sedillo shot at the two, who returned fire.
Sedillo was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead by medics. Police say the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Roswell police are continuing to investigate, and no charges have been filed against the injured man.
