FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) -- The New England Patriots have confirmed that former Patriots defensive player Mike Vrabel has been named as the team's 16th head coach. Vrabel replaces first year head coach Jerod Mayo, who finished 4-13 this year. A news conference will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday at Gillette Stadium to announce Vrabel as the next head coach.
