MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man is dead after a fatal shooting at a gas station on Saturday night, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office confirmed. At approximately 10 p.m., SCSO detectives began investigating a shooting at the 5300 block of U.S. Highway 51, just south of Fite Rd. in northwest Shelby County. A man was taken to Regional One in critical condition where he was later pronounced deceased. Detectives have not released any suspect information at this time but said that the shooter left the scene in a vehicle.
