It’s polar plunge time! WCCB Meteorologist James Scott is jumping into Lake Norman at 1 p.m. after it didn’t snow at least one inch in Charlotte on Friday. Charlotte officially only saw a half-inch of snow, which did end the 1,076 consecutive days since the city last saw some flakes, but it wasn’t enough to keep James out of the lake. James plans to jump in at Ramsey Creek Park in Cornelius. He has partnered with the non-profit Valley Hope Foundation in Swannanoa to try and raise money for people affected by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina.
