WICHITA, Kan, (KSNW) — One man is hospitalized following a shooting in South Wichita. Investigators responded to the call around 8:20 p.m. in the 3300 block of West All Hallows Ave.
The victim was shot in the chest by a handgun fired by a teen. Police say they likely knew each other. According to investigators, the man and the teen may have been wrestling around in their home, when the teen picked up the man's handgun, accidentally firing it. The man is expected to survive.
There are no arrests at this time and the case will be reviewed by the district attorney.
