ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police Department (APD) detectives arrested two teens suspected of murdering a 15-year-old on New Year's Eve. Police were called out to Anderson Mesa Park in response to a shooting where they discovered Manuel Orgea shot to death.
Police say Ortega was at the park with his younger brother to buy a gun from 17-year-old Adrian Torres. On the night of the murder, Torres brought 16-year-old Uriel Alonso.

Before Ortega and his brother arrived, police say Torres hid in a nearby bush, while Alonso stayed in the vehicle. While Ortega's brother got in the car, Ortega stood outside where police believe Torres shot Ortega twice before getting into the passenger seat and fleeing the scene after Ortega's brother got out.
Torres was arrested on Thursday and Alonso turned himself into police Saturday. Both are facing murder, armed robbery, and conspiracy charges.
