UPDATE: Vehicle that crashed into Lake Winnebago officially removed from water

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) - The vehicle that crashed into Lake Winnebago on Friday morning was officially removed from the water, according to an update to the release from the Neenah Police Department.
The update said that the vehicle was removed at 3 p.m. on Friday.
No more details have been provided regarding the situation.

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) - The driver of a vehicle in Neenah was uninjured after they left the road and crashed into Lake Winnebago, and officers are making plans to remove it.

Officers say the incident happened on January 9 when the driver left the road in the 200 block of Lakeshore Avenue, just south of Kimberly Point Park, and drove across the ice and into the open water.
It was noted that the driver was not injured and arrangements are being made to retrieve the vehicle. "We have taken dozens of calls about this and want to make the public aware there is no emergency and the vehicle will be removed as soon as possible," officers stated in the Facebook post.
