After a wintry Friday, we tapped into sunshine and enjoyed a beautiful Saturday! Salt treatments, sunshine, and temperatures climbing as high as the lower 30s allowed roads to quickly improve throughout the day. The snow on the ground made for plenty of picturesque views! There may be a few stray snow showers around and temperatures will be climbing into the mid-20s after bottoming out in the lower 20s overnight. High temperatures will return up into the lower 30s on Sunday as a powerful arctic cold front approaches. Ahead of and along this front, we'll see a scattered wintry mix of precipitation during the afternoon and evening. Watch out for a light mix of rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow to cause at least some slick spots on the roads. Make sure you take it slow and give yourself extra time if you have plans. We could pick up another coating of snow and light ice accumulations, so use extra caution.
