Cleveland State men beat Youngstown State, take over first place in Horizon League

Cleveland State won its eighth game in a row and took over first place in the Horizon League with an 80-72 victory over host Youngstown State on Jan. 11.
Tahj Staveskie scored 21 points, and the Vikings made 7 of 8 free throws in the final 34 seconds to seal the victory.
Staveskie shot 7 for 17 (4 for 10 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line for the Vikings. Dylan Arnett added 15 points while shooting 6 of 8 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line and also had 12 rebounds. Tevin Smith shot 4 for 11 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line to finish with 14 points.
The Vikings (12-6, 6-1) return to the Wolstein Center on Jan. 15 to face Northern Kentucky.
