In the mountains, mainly in Garrett County Maryland, upslope snow showers along and west of the Allegheny mountains, will keep Winter Weather Advisories in effect through 1 AM tonight for another couple of inches of snow.
Sunday and into Monday are looking dry, with daytime temperatures rising about 5-8 degrees warmer than what we had this Saturday. While many people will stay dry, the Allegany Front area and the folks living in the region, will continue to see on and off snows. This in turn, will favor another couple of inches of snow and along with winds gusting upwards of 30 to 40 mph range, will help the region to stay the coldest throughout the week. Overnight conditions each night will stay cold, particularly heading into Monday night given the added winds. Everyone will need heavy coats, gloves, and hats as nighttime wind chills are forecast to fall into the single digits to teens. Those along the Allegheny Front range between -5 to -15 degrees.
In the wake of Monday night's cold front, temperatures will be noticeably colder Tuesday through Thursday, as afternoon temperatures range from the teens in the Mountains to the low to mid-30s around the Beltway.Temperatures moderate slightly on Friday, with high temperatures inthe 40s for most.
