WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said a man died after a crash and car fire early Saturday morning.
Police responded to the area of Centerville Road around 12 a.m. to find a vehicle bearing Tennessee plates had struck a stone wall at the center of a roundabout and caught fire.
First responders extinguished the fire and removed 43-year-old Christopher Armstrong from the vehicle.
Armstrong was transferred to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said an accident reconstruction found that there were no signs of breaking and speed was not a factor in the crash.
Anyone with additional information on the incident is asked to call 401-468-4200.
