NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Friends, family and local businesses came out to J's Tavern in Chalmette for a day of remembrance for Adam Brown. "Me, Adam, Andrew and Mikey. We became the four horsemen of the apocalypse," said Brown's best friend, Vincent Lauro. "Adam meant a lot to a lot of people, you know? But we're doing good. The bands don't, they're friends of mine, and they wanted to donate their time. So they came out. We got five different bands," said Lauro. "Justice for Adam Brown" was plastered on the wall as Lauro smiled thinking about his love for karaoke. "He would always be singing somewhere. So no matter where or who had karaoke, he drove over there and sang whatever. So he said, yeah, that's why we're doing this with all the bands and everything to get. We're going to raise as much money as possible," said Lauro. I'm finding more love than ever from strangers. Some people that I didn't even know knew him," said Este. Knowing one thing she could count on is how her son touched so many people with his love for music, cooking and singing. She knows he will forever be loved. "My son was loved and respected, not just by Cox, where he worked, by friends, by the restaurants. He was a server at restaurants. People recognize me, recognize him," said Este. "I'm beyond grateful." Stay up to date with the latest news, weather and sports by downloading the WGNO app on the Apple or Google Play stores and by subscribing to the WGNO newsletter.
