MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- We are now on day two of winter weather across the Mid-South.  WREG Weather experts say the Memphis area saw nearly 8 inches of snow Friday and much of it is still on the ground.  "Stay safe," Neveah Bryant said. Wise words from a seven-year-old. Neveah Bryant spent the morning building a snowman with her grandmother and big sister. "We came out early this morning when we seen it we started playing in it," Jamiyha Bryant said. "We had fun in it." They are just two of the many kids finding joy in the snow that's coated the entire Memphis area.  ARDOT: Ramps, expressways trouble areas during winter conditions WREG Weather Experts said the Memphis area saw up to seven and a half inches of snow during Friday's Winter storm. Road conditions were deemed hazardous across the Mid-South due to snow and ice. However, Tania Richardson says that didn't bother her. "I had to work in it so it was fun for me," Richardson said. "Even going to work because I knew that paycheck was coming in." With the sun beaming down on the roadways Saturday, snow and ice turned into pools of water.  Snowboarders hit downtown Memphis ‘slopes’ However, the National Weather Service says this could be a problem because with the temperatures dropping, melted snow could re-freeze creating black ice in certain areas. Many bridges, overpasses, and even curbs remain icy despite the sunshine. Some people WREG spoke to say no matter the conditions, they are going to enjoy the winter weather while it's here. "I've learned in my age to enjoy whatever season comes about because the cold is good for some whereas the warm is good for some," Chaplain Geri said. "It's a good day. The sun is shining."
