PACIFIC, Wis. (WFRV) - Officials in Wisconsin are urging more caution when using portable heaters after a fire department responded to a garage fire. According to a release from the Portage Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to a two-story home around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday due to a reported garage fire. Aerial video shows before and after views of Palisades Fire in Los Angeles Officials arrived on the scene and found smoke coming from around the garage door and requested help from multiple local departments. Crews entered with a hose to find a moderate amount of smoke and subsequently put out the fire before it spread throughout the home. Due to the quick response, the fire was contained in a small area near a ceramic heater and mechanical tools.
