EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Happy Saturday, El Paso. This upcoming workweek will give the El Paso region the best of both worlds. With below-average temperatures forecasted through the first half of the week, we will gradually warm up in the second half to above average. The possibility of rain showers is even present for precipitation fans.  Overall, cool and dry conditions will persist throughout the majority of the days. Starting on Sunday, a high near 50 is expected with a low below freezing. Mostly sunny skies and cool breezes from the southeast will be present throughout the afternoon. Monday and Tuesday feature similar conditions, highs in the low 50s with lows at or near freezing. Slightly warmer temperatures and cloudier skies are present on Wednesday with a low in the mid-30s. Thursday and Friday, we start to see temperatures slowly climb closer to 60 with a shift in conditions. Winds along with the slight possibility for rain showers are present Thursday night and Friday. Lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. These conditions settle in for the weekend with Saturday’s high near 65 and Sunday’s about 10 degrees less in the mid-50s range.
