MINOT, ND (KXNET) — NDSU Extension will be offering a Suicide Prevention Certification training opportunity at the Ward County Administration Building in Minot later this month. Participants will learn how to recognize the warning signs of suicide and take action. This includes how to question someone about suicide, persuade them to seek help, and refer them to appropriate resources. MAP: Emergency room visits for respiratory illnesses are soaring in these states This workshop is for everyone, and does not require prior experience. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the workshop which is valid for 2 years. The free training will take place Monday, January 27 from 2-4 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
