Geauga County residents 60 years of age and older and who are concerned about falling or interested in improving balance, flexibility, and strength are invited to take part in a Matter of Balance class. Attendees will learn to set realistic goals for staying active, learn how to stay safe at home, complete exercises to increase strength and balance, and learn how to identify and control your fear of falling, according to a news release. Class One will take place every Wednesday and Friday, Feb. 5-28, from 1 to 3 p.m. It will be held at the Middlefield Senior Center, 15820 Ridgewood Drive. Class Two will run every Monday through Friday, March 3-28, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Chardon Senior Center, 470 Center St., Building 8. Class Three will be every Tuesday and Thursday, April 1-24, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Senior Center, lLocated in the Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ, 17751 Chillicothe Road. The class is free for all registered Geauga County seniors through the Geauga County Department on Aging. However, space is limited so register by calling Melissa Wheeler at 440-279-2167.
