Man charged with homicide after Thruway crash killed Central NY man on side of highway

Canajoharie, N.Y. – An Albany man was charged this week with criminally negligent homicide and lying to police after a fatal crash that killed a Central New York man on the Thruway last weekend.At around 11:50 a.m. Jan. 4, David Bonaparte, 61, stopped on the shoulder of the Thruway near Canajoharie due to a brake issue and got out of his vehicle. Canajoharie is a small village between Utica and Albany.
